Interns Graduate With Honors
We are proud to announce the first graduation of our internship class at VISTA. At VISTA we pride ourselves on teaching and mentoring young college graduates, as they become professionals in our media world. With Josh Liemer and Dana Silver at the helm of the internship program each candidate receives excellent training and real life experience throughout the one-year program.
In 2010 we announced the start of our new internship programs available at VISTA for individuals who were enthusiastic, detail-oriented, knowledgeable in sports and news and who were both organized and proactive. With this in mind we accepted three excellent individuals into our first class of post-graduate interns. Today we are proud to tell you about each of their success at VISTA and how they have moved into full time positions within our company.
The first to graduate from post grad intern to our CSC Department was Tim Kling. Following a successful six-month internship Tim moved on into operations. From the beginning we understood that Tim was a team player. He volunteered to assist on all projects happening at VISTA whether in the videotape library, in Stirling Studios or in special events. His natural curiosity, his knowledge of the technical aspects of what we do and his hard work paid off as we offered him a full time position in early September of 2010. With our operations and services growing significantly in 2010 we needed to add young strong coordinators to our team of professionals in the CSC and where better to find them than in our Internship Program? Our next two successful grads are David Yaffe and Michelle Stewart. Effective January 1, 2011 they each moved from their internships into full time positions in VISTA’s videotape library and emerging technology department. The VTL grew and expanded this year and Michelle and David became huge components to the growth. David is an excellent editor who has brought in-house postproduction services to many of our clients throughout the year. With a newly equipped editing suite, VISTA is proud to offer expanded services to our clients.
Michelle represents the epitome of organization. She quickly grew as an asset to Dana Silver, our Director of the VTL. Ask the MLS Teams about Michelle and they will all tell you that she is on top of her game. We were pleased to bring her on full time before the season begins in 2011 to offer the continuity and advanced services that the teams have learned to expect from VISTA. With our three first graduates now full time VISTA employees we are once again interviewing and preparing for our 2011 Class of Post-Graduate and College Interns. All applicants should have a working knowledge of Final Cut Pro and an interest in learning to organize video footage to be assembled and edited.
